Dr. Dorothy Scicluna is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist specializing in eating disorders, anxiety, trauma, and comprehensive mental health care. She completed her doctoral training at the University of Padova, Italy, where she subspecialized in the treatment of eating disorders and obesity through the Department of Neurological Sciences and Psychiatry. Subsequently she completed training to master’s level in Gestalt psychotherapy and eventually also obtained a Diploma in Integrative Supervision.

As founder of The Waterlily Psychology Centre, she provides evidence-based psychological and psychotherapeutic services for individuals experiencing Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Anxiety/OCD, co-occurring disorders, and trauma-related conditions.

Her clinical approach integrates functional psychology with integrative psychotherapy, synthesizing applied neuroscience, depth psychology, and understanding of the gut brain-endocrine system to identify root causes of psychological symptoms. This holistic methodology enables her to develop individualized therapeutic programmes grounded in the evidence-based principle that mental and emotional health are intrinsically connected to physical biology.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Scicluna is a dedicated advocate for mental wellbeing in professional settings, having designed workplace coaching programmes to support organizational mental health. She serves as an educator, educational content developer, and speaker in the field of psychology and mental health.
