Epaderm Ointment as a skin moisturiser
Epaderm Ointment can be applied immediately after washing or swimming following gentle drying when the skin is still slightly humid. It should be applied liberally to the affected area and massaged into the skin.
…and as a skin cleanser
When caring for dry skin conditions, The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK recommends washing with emollients rather than detergents or soaps, as these can damage the skin. Using Epaderm Ointment as a skin cleanser helps ensure that dry skin can be properly washed, without losing additional moisture.
Epaderm Ointment as a bath additive
Epaderm Ointment can also be used as a bath additive. Melt a little Epaderm Ointment in a container of hot water and shake to mix thoroughly. Allow to cool and add to the bath. After bathing, gently pat skin dry with a soft clean towel.
When using Epaderm as a bath additive, care should be taken, as it will make the surface of the bath slippery.
