Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin and certain supplements, for a few days before the procedure. This can help minimize the risk of bruising at the injection sites.
Limit Alcohol Intake: Limit alcohol consumption in the days leading up to the procedure, as alcohol can contribute to dehydration.
Avoid Rubbing or Touching: Refrain from rubbing or touching the treated area immediately after the injections to prevent the spread of Botox to unintended areas.
Cold Compress: Apply a cold compress or ice pack to the treated area to reduce swelling and discomfort.
Avoid Strenuous Exercise: Avoid strenuous physical activities and excessive sweating for at least 24 hours after the procedure to allow the Botox to settle into the targeted muscles.
Stay Upright: Remain in an upright position for a few hours after the injections. Avoid lying down or bending over excessively.
Be Patient: It may take several days to a week for the full effects of the Botox to be noticeable. Be patient and allow the treatment to take its course.
Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners: Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours after the procedure, as it can increase the risk of bruising. Also, continue to avoid blood-thinning medications as recommended by your healthcare professional.

What side effects, if any, occur?
Side effects are rare, however they may occur. They can include slight bruising at the injection site or a temporary headache. The skin will feel the same after treatment and normal sensation will remain in all treated areas. Muscles that are not treated and are related to other expressions are not affected. To prevent/minimise bruising, do not drink alcohol for a week, do not take anti-inflammatory meds for a week (Catafast/Nurofen/Irfen), eat pineapple a day before.
When will results be seen?
Botox starts working after 3 – 4 days. Maximum results will be visible after 10 – 14 days; Botox effects last for between 4 to 6 months. Repeat treatments on a regular basis have often lasted around six months.
When should Botox be avoided?
Botox cannot be done to Breastfeeding / Pregnant mothers, or to clients suffering from neurological diseases, such as Multiple Sclerosis and from Myasthenia Gravis.
Is Botolinum Toxin safe?
It has an excellent safety profile and has been approved by international regulatory bodies for cosmetic use. It has no known long-term negative effects.
