Laser Smooth Perfection: Where Beauty Meets Precision!

  • How it works
Our laser type is Candela Gentle Pro, the most efficient and effective laser machines on the market. Laser Hair Removal focuses on the root of the hair follicle to prevent hair regrowth after a number of laser sessions.
  • The Process
The laser uses a pulse of light that passes through the skin to the hair follicle which absorbs the heat that damages the cells responsible for hair regrowth. During the treatment, a Dynamic Cooling Device cools the area before and after the pulse of light is applied, ensuring that there is no damage to the surrounding tissue. The laser is not suitable for white, grey or red hairs.
  • Why we love it
Amazing long term results with no skin damage.

Consultation: Schedule a consultation with our licensed and experienced laser hair removal doctors and nurses to assess your skin type, hair color, and medical history. This will help determine the most suitable treatment plan for you.

Avoid Sun Exposure: Limit sun exposure and tanning for at least four to six weeks before the treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin is more prone to side effects such as pigmentation changes.

Avoid Hair Removal Methods: Refrain from waxing, plucking, or using depilatory creams in the treatment area for at least four weeks before the session. The laser targets the hair follicle, and these methods can interfere with the process.

Shave the Treatment Area: Shave the treatment area one day before the session. This leaves the hair shaft intact while removing hair above the skin’s surface, allowing the laser to target the follicle effectively.

Inform the Practitioner: Inform the practitioner about any medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Some medications can make the skin more sensitive to the laser.

Avoid Perfumes and Lotions: On the day of the treatment, avoid applying perfumes, lotions, or deodorants to the treatment area. Clean, dry skin allows for better laser penetration.

Use Cold Compress: Apply a cold compress or ice pack to the treated area immediately after the session to reduce any swelling or discomfort.

Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect the treated area from sun exposure for at least four to six weeks after the session. Use sunscreen with a high SPF and wear protective clothing.

Avoid Hot Showers and Activities: Skip hot showers, saunas, and strenuous physical activities for the first 24-48 hours post-treatment. This helps prevent irritation and allows the skin to recover.

Avoid Hair Removal Methods: Avoid waxing, plucking, or using depilatory creams between sessions. Shaving is generally allowed, but consult with your practitioner for specific guidelines.

Apply Aloe Vera or Calming Cream: If you experience redness or irritation, you can apply aloe vera gel or a calming cream to soothe the skin. Avoid products with harsh chemicals or fragrances.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, which can aid in the recovery process.

FAQS

Questions?
We’ve Got Answers

Frequently asked questions on Laser Hair Removal.

Is the treatment painful?

Laser Hair removal sessions are usually compared to an elastic band snapping on the skin. Anaesthetic cream may be applied 30 minutes before the session for sensitive areas or where pain tolerance is low.

What side effects may be experienced?

Right after treatment, the area will be slightly pink – like a mild sun burn. This will disappear after a few hours.

When will individual session results be seen?

Hair starts to fall out around 2 weeks after treatment.

How many treatments are needed?

At any given time a percentage of hairs are in a ‘resting phase’ and do not grow. The laser will not be effective on these type of hairs. For optimum results, on average, 3-6 treatments will be required on any particular area, depending upon hair growth, hair type, hair colour and the removal area. Hormone imbalance might also hinder the effectiveness of the Laser Hair Removal long-term results.

Does Laser Hair Removal produce permanent results?

After a course of treatment up to 80% reduction in hair growth will be experienced. Hair that regrows will be thinner, lighter and sparse. Some clients the initial series of sessions, only 1 to 2 maintanance sessions per year may be required, if any.
