The Treatment
The treatment is minimally invasive and is completed in around 15 minutes. No anaesthetic is required. The skin is thoroughly cleansed and the peel is applied. A tingling sensation will be felt that will stop when the peel is removed.
Right away your skin will feel slightly tight and will probably be red. The peel usually starts to work after 24 hours.
What to expect
- Light Peels take approximately three to five days to shed completely. No downtime will be required.
- Medium peels usually persist for five to seven days. The skin may or may not flake and fall away.
- Deep Peels may take several weeks to fully repair. This type of peel is usually effective in treating hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles.
Straight after the peel you should only use a mild cleanser and anti-oxidant rich serum / moisturiser. Normal skin care routine may be resumed after the redness or peeling has stopped.
The Result
The result is smoother, softer, fresher and more youthful looking skin. The best result for a chemical peel will be achieved when used in combination with other treatments, such as Rejuvenating wrinkle smoothers and fillers.
