- How it works
Semi permanent make-up (SPM), also known as micropigmentation, is a form of temporary cosmetic make-up with the procedure being performed only by qualified technicians. SPM works by depositing hypoallergenic, mineral-based pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. The technique is similar to getting a tattoo done and is performed to medical grade standard. Each treatment is completely bespoke and tailored to the client’s desired end result. Semi-permanent makeup can be applied to various areas of the face and body, but some of the most common treatments include eyeliner, eyebrows, lip liner, and full lip color. It can also be used to enhance the appearance of areolas after breast surgery. - The Process
Prior to the procedure an anaesthetic cream is used, so during the procedure only slight discomfort is felt. Prior to the commencement of the SPM procedure, the client and the aesthetician will select the colours to be used, the shape to be achieved, and the depth of colouring, depending on whether a natural or enhanced look is desired. The colour of the client’s eyes, skin and hair are all taken into consideration with colours being blended to perfectly suit each different client. - Why we love it
SPM saves time and effort in daily beauty routines; make-up does not smudge or wear off; is customisable for different preferences and appearances; is ideal for active lifestyles.
