Microimmunotherapy + Strep AB Profile (6261 + 2989) 4MBH1

The Immune Status & Full Viral Serology assay analyses immune cell populations, subsets, and viral antibodies in blood, including viruses like Epstein-Barr, Varicella zoster, and Cytomegalovirus, to assess immune status.

However, it doesn’t distinguish between past infections, ongoing infections, or vaccination, and isn’t diagnostic.

**Please note: **This test is available in Ireland; however, due to the time-sensitive nature of the sample, it must be shipped directly to the laboratory in Germany. A shipping fee of €60 applies.

An invoice will be issued to the practitioner at the point of purchase. If shipping has already been paid, that amount will be deducted from the final shipping cost.

Methodology

The Immune Status & Full Viral Serology is analysed by serologyerology immuno-fluorescence, particularly indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA), which is a diagnostic technique used to detect and measure antibodies in patient serum. In IFA, patient serum is incubated with a substrate, typically cells or tissue containing the antigen of interest. If the patient has antibodies against the antigen, they will bind to it. The unbound antibodies are then washed away, and a secondary antibody tagged with a fluorescent dye is applied. This secondary antibody binds specifically to the patient’s antibodies, forming a complex. Under a fluorescent microscope, the presence of fluorescence indicates the binding of the secondary antibody complex, revealing the presence and localization of specific antibodies in the patient’s serum. Serology immuno-fluorescence is crucial in diagnosing infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders, and detecting antibodies against viruses, bacteria, or other pathogens.

When should you consider this test?

Consider this test for assessing immune system cellular integrity, offering insights into immune status and immunotype(s). It aids in identifying pathogen involvement in autoimmune reactions and monitoring treatment effectiveness for various autoimmune conditions.
